Oure soverane lord and haill estatis of this present perliament, respecting the trew, guid, thankfull and acceptable service done to his hienes be his weilbelovit servitour Maister George Young, archedene of Sanctandrois, hes thairfoir ratifiet and approvin and be the tennour of this present act ratifies, apprevis and confirmis the gift of pensioun grantit to him be his majestie off twa hundreth pundis furth of the reddiest custumes of the burgh of Edinburgh; and for his better service thairof, off new gevis, grantis and disponis to the said Maister George the said pensioun of tua hundreth pundis to be yeirlie upliftit be him of the reddiest custumes of the said burgh nixt unto the yeirlie assignatioun of the castell of Edinburgh, beginnad the first termes payment at the feist of Witsonday last bypast, and sua continwand yeirlie and termelie during his lyftyme. And to that effect, hes dissolvit and be thir presentis dissolvis the said pensioun for the said Maister Georgeis lyftyme fra his hienes propirtie quhairinto the haill custumes of this realme ar annexit, to the effect the samyn may be peceablie bruikit and upliftit be the said Maister George, conforme to this present gift during the space foirsai; and siclyk hes ratifiit and apprevit and be the tennour heirof ratifies and apprevis and of new gevis, grantis and disponis to the said Maister George during his said lyvetyme the pensioun of fourscoir pundis grantit to him ofbefoir be his majestie and pait to him yeirlie sen his gift be the commendater of Glenluce, as the dewtie quhairin he is addettit for the monkis portionis of the said abbey disponit to him be his majestie for the sowme foirsaid, and als the pensioun of the few males of Cauldstreme grantit to the said Maister George during his said lyvetyme be oure said soverane lord off the dait the xiij day of September anno jM vC lxxxviij yeris, in all heidis, clauses and conditionis thairof, dissolving the same pensioun of Cauldstreme fra his hienes propirtie during the space foirsaid, to the effect the samyn may be mair effectuall, willing and granting and for his hienes and his successouris decerning and ordaning the saidis pensionis to be and remaine valide and effectuall to the said Maister George during his said lyftyme according to his giftes thairof and this present ratificatioun and new dispositioun of the samyn in all pointis, dispensand with all actis, statutis, constitutionis or ordinances of perliament haldin heirtofoir be his majestie or ony his hienes predicessouris quhilkis onnywyis may dirogat or be interpreit to the prejudice heirof in ony sort.
