Act concerning the disorderis in the Wast Marche

Oure soverane lord and estaitis of this present parliament, takand consideratioun of the rebellious contempt usit be ane greit nowmer of his hienes subjectis, alsweill upoun the bordour as in the hielandis and dyvers utheris partis of his hienes realme, quha, without regard of thair dewtifull obedience, pass dalie to the horne for not finding of law souirtie, not subscryving of assurances in materis of feid dingis and strykis his majesties messingeris and utheris his hienes officiaris in executioun of thair offices, and sum quha nichtlie and dalie reifis, forrayis and committis oppin thift, reif and oppressioun; for remeid quhairof, oure said soverane lord ordanis the actis and lawes maid ofbefoir anent thift, thiftebute, ressett of thift, interteneyaris in, intercommoynaris, ressettaris and supplearis of thevis to be put to executioun according to the tennoure thairof, and ratifies and apprevis the same in all pointis. And forder oure said soverane lord, with advise of the estaitis of this present parliament, statutis and oradanis that na respett nor remissioun be grantit at ony tyme heireftir to ony persoun or personis that pass to the horne for thift, reif, slauchter, birning or heirschip quhill the pertie skaithit be first satisfiet; and gif ony respeitt or remissioun salhappin to be grantit befoir the pairtie grevit be first satisfiit, the samyn salbe null and of nane availl be way of exceptioun of reply without ony forder declaratour, except the saidis remissionis and respeittis be grantit for pacifeing of the brokin cuntries and bordouris.
