†Oure soverane lord, remembring the guid, trew and thankfull service done to his hienes be his richt traist cousing and counsellour Johnne, erll of Montrois, lord Grahme, and to gif better occasioun to him, and to Johnne, maistir of Grahame, his eldest sone and apperand air, to continew in the lyk service, with expres advise and consent of the estaitis of his present parliament, hes ratifiit, approvin and confermit and, be the tennour heirof, for his hienes and his successouris, ratifies, apprevis and perpetuallie confermis the tua severall charteris efter following maid, gevin and grantit be his majestie to the said Johnne, maistir of Grahame, and certane aris maill and of talyie thairin specefiit, off all and haill the landis and baronie of Kincardin, particuler landis lyand within the samyn and united thairto, off all and haill the landis and baronie of Athera, with the salmond fisching upoun the watter of Ellone, with power to big cruvis thairupoun, off all and haill the landis of Rathernis, Urchill and Garvokis, with thair pertinentis, contenit in ane of the saidis charteris; and of all and haill the landis, baronie and erledome of auld Montrose, off all and haillis the land and baronie of Kynnaber, off all and haill the landis of Wardropertoun, off all and haill the landis and baronie of Mukdok and Dundasmuir, off all and sindre the landis of Mekle Balmoir and Eister Bedven, the landis and baronie of Abruthen, the landis of Kilpont and Eleistoun, togidder with touris, castellis, fortalices, mylnis, salmond fischingis, woddis, advocatioun and donatioun of benefices, alterages, prebendaries and chaiplanries and utheris privilegis and liberties quhatsumevir pertening to the saidis landis, baronies and erledome, or ony pairt thairof expressit in the foirsaidis charteris, or ather of thame, and speciallie the tailyie and successioun thairin mentionat, with the new gift and dispositioun, unioun and annexatioun contenit in ather of the saidis tua charteris in all heidis, articles, clausis and conditionis thairin contenit, as the saidis charteris, baith of the dait past under his hienes greit seill at Halyrudhous, the xxiij day of Maii, the yeir of God jM vC fourscoir ane yeris, in thame selffis respective at mair lenth proportis. Lyk as oure said soverane lord and thre estaitis foirsaidis, be the tennour heirof, findis and declaris that the foirsaidis charteris, preceptis and instrumentis of seasing following thairupoun ar guid, lauchfull and valide in thame selffis to the said Johnne, maistir of Grahame, his aris and assignais thairin mentionat, for bruiking of the landis, baronies, lordschippis and utheris at mair lenth specefiit in the same charteris, nochtwithstanding quhatsumevir actis of parliament, lawis and constitutionis of this realme and nochtwithstanding quhatsumevir revocatioun generall or speciall maid be oure said soverane lord at ony tyme befoir the dait heirof, to the quhilkis oure said soverane lord, with avise foirsaid, decernis and ordanis thir presentiz to mak expres, full and speciall derogatioun, and, gif neid beis, ordanis ane chartour to be maid under the greit seill in the mair forme, ratifeand and apprevand the foirsaidis thre charteris, with the precepentis and instrumentis of seasing following thairupoun, contenand the haill landis, baronies, lordschippis, erledomes and utheris specefiit contenit in the samyne charteris, with all clausis and provisionis thairof; and that this present act of parliament be ane sufficient and immediat warrand thairto at the greit seill, but passing signet or privie seill and to be extendit in the best forme with all clausis neidfull.
