Act in favour of the burgh of Anstruther be wast the burne

Oure soverane lord, with avise of his estatis convenit in this present parliament, having consideratioun that upoun the xxj day of October, the yeir of God jM vC fourscoir sevin yeiris, for the policie and weilfair of the cuntrie, his hienes erectit Anstruther be wast the burne in ane frie burgh regall, gevand and grantand to thame all liberties, fredomes, privilegis and immunities that in onywayis to ane burgh regall micht apertene, and than ratifiet and apprevit to thame all infeftmentis and richtis quhatsumevir grantit be his hienes predicessouris and pryoris and conventis of Sanctandrois and Pettinveme, as thair said infeftmentis of the dait foirsaid at mair lenth beris; and willing the same at all tymes heireftir to stand effectuall and the said burgh to bruik and joys all fredomes and privilegis that in onywayis to ane burgh regall micht pertene, with advise of the estatis of this present parliament, hes ratifiet and approvin and, be the tennour heirof, ratifies and apprevis the foirsaid erectioun and infeftment conforme to the tennour thairof as gif the samyn wer ingrossit and expressit heirin word be word. And siclyk, be thir presentis of new, makis, erectis and creattis the foirsaid burgh of Anstruther bewast the burne, port and heavinning place thairof, with all boundis pertening thairto, as the induellaris and inhabitantis thairof presentlie possess the samyn, in ane frie burgh regall at all tymes heireftir; and gevis and doittis thairto all privilegis, liberties, immunities and proffittis pertening to ane burgh regall as ony uther burgh regall hes within this realme.
