†Oure soverane lord, with advise and consent of the estaitis of this present parliament, ratifies and apprevis the contract, infeftmentis, securities, evidentis and utheris underwrittin off the daitis and contentis efterspecifiet, viz: the contract of mariage maid be his majesties weilbelovit counsellour George Keith, erll and merschell of this realme, heretable lord of Keith and Altrie, schireff of Mernis and frie barroun of Inverrowgie Aden, and his hienes generall lieutennent of the north, Schir Andro Keith, lord and frie barrone of Dingwall, knicht, generall colonell of this realme, James Scrymgeour, barrone of Duddop, constable of Dundie and heretable standart berair, Maisteris Johnne Skene, advocat in the supreme senat, and George Young, secretair depute, archedeane of Sanctandrois and secretair of the said ambassadorie, his hienes commissionaris, oratouris, depuittis, procuratouris and ambassadouris upoun the ane pairt, and the maist illuster Prince Christiane, be the grace of God, king of Denmark, Norway, Wandell and Gothis, elect king, duike of Slevice Holstace, Stormarie and Dicmarsie, erll in Oldenburgh and Delmenhorst, and the maist noble lady Sophia, quene of Denmark, Norroway, Wandell and Goth, widow come of the maist noble famelie of the dukrie of Mekelanburgh etc., dutches of Slevice Holstace, Stormarie and Dikmarsie, countes of Oldenburgh and Delmenhorst, and his grace weilbelovit nobilitie and senatouris of the kingdome of Denmark and Norway on the uther part, for the mariage betuix his majestie and his darrest spous, Anna, sister to the said king of Denmark, Norway etc., now accomplischit with all pointis, articles, clauses thairin contenit of the dait at the castell of Croneburgh in Sieland, the tuentie day of August the yeir of God jM vC lxxxix yeiris; and syklik, the morowing gift gevin be his hienes to his darrest spous off all and haill the lordschip of Dumfermling, with all baronies, landis, principall dueling housis, yardis, pasturis, mylnis, multuris, myllandis, teyndis, baith greit and small, woddis, coilheughis, fischingis and all thair continentis quhatsumevir liand upoun the north syd of the watand of Forth with all clauses, articles and conditionis thairin mentionat as the samyne of the dait at Upslo in Noroway, the xxiiij day of November jM vC lxxxix yeris, at lenth proportis; as als the gift and donatioun renewit to his hienes darrest spous of the same lordschip of Dumfermling with all baronies, partis, pendicles and continentis abonewrittin and haill contentis thairof, off the dait at Haliruidhous, the xj day of Maii, jM vC lxxxx; and forder, the charteris, preceptis, instrumentis of seasing maid, grantit and gevin be his majestie to his darrest spous according to the former contract of mariage and for fulfilling his graces pairt thairof, of the erledomes, lordschippis, palices, castellis, touris, fortalices, landis, rentis, fermes, victuallis, with thair continentis, to wit: the palice of Linlithgw, with the lordschip and landis of the same yardis, pasturis, lochis, fischingis, mylnis, multuris, coillis, coilheuches, rentis, fermes, victuallis, custumes, with advocatioun and donatioun of benefices, tennentis, tenanndries, service of frie tennentis, annext and connext landis, partis, pendicles and pertinentis quhatsumevir lyand within the schirefdome of Linlithgw; and in likmaner the erledome of Fyff with the palice and castell of Falkland, lordschip, landis, partis, woddis, fischingis, pasturis, schawis, rentis, fermes, dewties, custumes, mylnes, multuris, with advocatioun donatioun of benefices, tenentis, tennandres and service of frie tennentis, annext and connext landis, partis, pendicles and continentis quhatsumevir alsweill not namit as namit, liand within the schirefdome of Fyff and haill contentis thairof at Haliruidhous, being of the dait the xj day of Maii 1590. Attour, oure soverane lord and estaitis foirsaidis be decreit and sentence of parliament decernis and declaris that the foirsaid contract of mariage, haill clausis and contentis thairof, the morowing gift of the lordschip of Dumfermling and haill contentis thairof, renewit as is abone specefiit, the charteris, preceptis and instrumentis of seasing of the erledome, lordschip and castellis abonementionat, viz: the palice and lordschip of Linlithgw of the erledome of Fyff, with the palice of Falkland and haill partis and continentis abone rehersit, to have bene maid and done to the honour, weill and proffite of his majestie and of his hienes croun and siclyk to the weill and commoditie of the haill realme, and thairfoir decernis and ordanis the same to stand effectuall and be inviolablie and faithfullie observit, kepit and fulfillit in all pointis in all tyme cuming; and forder declaris that incais it be fund that hir hienes securities abonespecefiit of the landis, lordschippis and utheris abonewrittin be not sufficient to hir majestie for bruiking and joysing thairof, the samyn securities being reformit and renewit be his majesties advocattis or utheris in sic autentik and competent forme as effeiris, oure soverane lord and estaitis foirsaidis now as than and than as now ratifies and apprevis the same in sic sort as gif the same wer alreddie perfytit in maist ample and sicker forme; and ordanis this decreit and sentence of parliament, gif neid beis, to be extractit under the greit seill and seillis of the haill nobilitie, baronis, clergie and commissionaris of burrowis, lordis of articles of this present parliament.
