Annexatioun of Kelso and Coldinghame to the croun

Oure soverane lord, with avise of his estaitis in this present parliament, hes annexit and annexis the abbay of Kelso and priorie of Coldinghame, now vacand be the foirfaltour of Frances, sumtyme erll Bothuill, or disheresing and dishabling of his posteritie to bruik honouris, landis, levingis, offices, heretage or benefices within this realme and that this present annexatioun be als sufficient as ony annexatioun of quhatsumevir landis, heretage or benefices maid to the croun of Scotland in ony tyme bygane.

Anent the inobedience of personis, possessouris of the kingis propre landis of the Hielandis and Ilis

Forsamekle as Angus MacConill of Dunyveg and Glennis and Lauchlane MacLane of Dowar, being accusit of sindrie crymes of heich treassoun and barbarous cruelties committit be thame, became in his hienes will thairfoir, quha, moved of mercie and clemencie and willing rather to saulf nor tyne his borne subjectis, spairit thair lyffis and just deservit punishment and gaif thame libertie to pas hame, quhilkis notwithstanding hes untrewlie brokin thair promises and falsified thair faithis, quhairfoir his majestie, with avise of the estaitis of this present parliament, decernis and declairis that in cais the saidis Angus and Lauchlane sall not personalie gif thair obedience to his hienes and use thair remissionis gif thay ony have in presence of his hienes, his counsall or justice or his deputis befoir the first day of August nixtocum, accept the conditionis grantit to thame be his hienes and mak sufficient suirtie for thair obedience and thankfull payment of his hienes rentis in tyme cuming, it salbe lauchfull to his majestie to caus pronunce his will aganis the saidis Angus and Lauchlane, quhilk salbe the foirfaltour of thair liffis, landis and guidis, and to execute thair plegis to the death, notwithstanding ony grace, pardoun or favour promissit or grantit to thame, seing thay wer grantit in respect of thair promissit obedience and aucht not to serve utherwayes becaus of thair lait avowit contempt and inobedience; and the haill estaitis present promissit to assist his majestie with thair bodies, counsalles and haill force to mak his auctoritie obeyit be his subjectis and the tressounable and barbarous rebellis punissit and repressit as thay have worthelie deservit.
