Act remitting the Larde of Durryis supplicatioun to the kingis majestie

Anent the supplicatioun presentit to oure soverane lord and lordis of articles be Margaret Stewart, sister and air to umquhile George Stewart of Rossyth, and Robert Dury, fear of that Ilk, hir spous, for his interess, makand mentioun that quhair Hary Stewart, the said Mergarettis fader bruther, hes presentit ane supplicatioun to his majestie and lordis desiring ane ratificatioun and confirmatioun of all pretendit tailyies maid be his hienes predicessouris in thair minorities, quhilkis ar takin away be the generall revocatioun maid be his hienes maist noble predicessouris, and quhairupoun the said Margaret hes summondis of reductioun instantlie dependand befoir the lordis of sessioun for annulling of the samin for divers verie guid, necessar causis, lyk as scho is servit and retourit as air in generall to hir said umquhile bruther and thairthrow hes undoutit richt in and to the saidis haill landis and leving of Rossyth, quhairintill hir said umquhile bruther deceissit last vest and seisit as of fie, and thairby having speciale interes as pairtie, na sic article or ony uther thing quhilk may onywayes tend to the hurte and prejudice of the said Margarettis heretable richt of the saidis landis quhill scho, as pairtie, and hir said spous, for his interes, be first callit to that effect; beseikand thairfoir his grace and lordis of articles that na article anent the ratificatioun of the saidis tailyies or ony uther thing quhilk may ony wayes tend to the hurte and prejudice of hir said richt be onywyse grantit to the said Harie quhill the said Margaret and hir said spous (as lauchfull pairtie contradictour to him in the said mater) be first lauchfullie callit to that effect, and that thairefter, be productioun and inspectioun of hir saidis richtis, justice may be indifferentlie ministrat thairintill, as accordis of the law, as at mair lenth is contenit in the said supplicatioun. Quhilk being hard, sene and considderit be his hienes and lordis of articles, the saidis lordis of articles remittis the foirsaid supplicatioun, contentis and desir thairof, to oure said soverane lord, to be decidit be his hienes according to law, conscience and rycht, and howsoever his majestie sall pronunce and decerne thairintill, the samin to have als grite strenth, force and effect as gif the samin had bene pronuncit and decreittit be his hienes, with advise of the saidis estaittis of this present parliament; and to that effect, the foirsaidis lordis hes interponit and interponis thair auctoritie to the premisis and to his majesties proceidingis thairanent.
