Ratificatioun to the commendatair of Scone

Oure soverane lord, with advise of his thre estaittis of parliament, now efter his perfite aige of xxj yeiris compleit, ratifies and apprevis and, for his hienes and his successouris, perpetuallie confermis the gift and donatioun maid be his majestie befoir to Johnne Ruthven, sone lauchfull of his umquhill richt traist cousing and counsellour, Williame, erle of Gowry, lord Ruthven and Dirltoun etc., of the gift of the abbacie of Scone, haill frutis, proffittis and emolumentis thairof, for all the dayes of his lyvetyme, as than vacand in his hienes handis for the ressonis and causis contenit in the saidis utheris lettres of gift, quhilkis ar of the dait at the castell of Striviling, the sevint day of Maii, the yeir of God jM vC fourescoir yeiris; and forder, oure said soverane lord, now efter his perfite aige of xxj yeiris compleit, of new gevis, grantis and disponis to the said Johnne, for all the dayes of his lyftyme, the said abbacie, with all fruitis, proffittis and emolumentis thairof in the estait quhairin the samin now standis, to be broukit be him during the space foirsaid but ony revocatioun. And forsamekle as be the erectioun of the said erldome the landis, lordschippis and baronies thairof quhilkis of befoir pertenit to the abbacie of Scone ar separat thairfra, oure said soverane lord, with avise of his saidis thre estaittis in the parliament haldin at Edinburgh, the penult day of November, the yeir of God jM vC lxxxj yeiris, ordanit and commandit the collectour generall and lordis auditouris of his hienes eschekker to alter the assumptioun of the thrid of the said benefice of Scone and to mak the just thrid of the haill rentis thairof restand attour the yeirlie few mailles and dewties of the saidis temporall landis, of the quhilkis the said erldome wes erectit as said is, and to assume the said thrid furth of the reddiest of the deweties, ather money or victuellis, payit for the kirkis and teyndis of the said abbay beginnand at the crope and yeir of God jM vC lxxxj yeiris, and sua forth yeirlie in tyme cuming, quhill further order wer takin be his hienes, with avise of his estaittis in parliament, and that thair sould [...] mair be assignit to be pait forth of the thrid of the said abbay, ather ministeris stipendis or in payment of quhatsumevir pensionis, giftis or uthers assignationis accustumat to be payit furth of the thrid of the said abbay of befoir bot according to [...] to be than newlie assumit, as the said act of parliament of the dait foirsaid at [...] lenth proportis; according to the command quhairof, the lordis auditouris of oure soverane lordis chekker, upone the xx day of Aprile the yeir of God jM vC fourescoir sex yeiris, ressavit the rentale of the said abbacie of Scone, as the samin now standis, and interponit thair decreit thairto that the samin mycht stand for the just rentale of the said abbacie in the estait quhairin it now is in tyme cuming, as ane act maid thairupoun of the dait foirsaid at mair lenth proportis; quhilk act of parliament and act and decreit of the saidis lordis of chekker following thairupoun, oure said soverane lord and his saidis thre estaittis of parliament ratifies and apprevis. And forder, be the auctoritie of this present parliament, oure said soverane lord, with avise of his saidis thre estaittis, statutis and ordanis that the said act of parliament and act and ordinance of the saidis lordis of eschekker following thairupoun sall stand in full strenth, force and effect in all tyme cuming, and that the said abbacie salbe na further burdynit with the thrid nor ony uther charge or burdine quhilk may be layit upoun the said abbay bott according to the present estait of the fruitis thairof, nor yit sall the samin be onywayis stentit and taxit in ony uther charges or impositionis bot proportionallie as the samin now is of availl, exceptand the channonis portionis, quhilk of the consent of the said commendatair and Schir Lues Bellenden of Auchnoull, knicht, justice clerk, his administratour, ar liquidate, everie ane of thame to the sowme of fiftie merkis yeirlie, quhairof thai sall mak yeirlie pament to the thesaurair and his deputtis according to the act of parliament maid a[...] mounkis portionis, channounis and nunnis portionis efter the forme and tennour thairof, and ordinit the same to be extendit in the best forme with all claussis neidfull.
