Ratificatioun to the Erll of Craufurd of the landis of Abirnethy

Oure soverane lord and his hienes thre estaitis of this present parliament ratefeis, apprevis and confermis the infeftment gevin and grantit be our soverane lord to his richt traist cousing and counsallour David, erll of Craufurde, his airis and assignais, for all the dayes of the lyftymes of Archibald, erll of Angus, and Dame Margaret Leslie, his spous, and thaireftir for all the dayes of the liftyme of the said Dame Margaret Leslie, gif it salhappin hir to leif efter the deceise of the said erll allanerlie, all and haill the propirtie of all and sindrie the landis and baronie of Bothuell, with castellis, touris, fortalices, maner places, milnis, fischeingis, multuris, wodis and all thair pertinentis, liand within the schirrefdome of Lanerk; and all and haill the landis, lordschip and baronie of Abirnethy, with castellis, touris, fortalices, maner places, yairdis, orcheardis, milnes, fischeingis, pairtis, pendiclis, annexis, connexis, tenentis, tenandriis and service of frie tennentis, advocatioun, donatioun and rycht of patronageis of kirkis and chapellanreis of the same, and specialie of the provestrie and prebendareis of the college kirk of Abirnethy and all uthir thair pertinintis, proffeitis, liberteis and commoditeis, als frelie and largelie in all and be all thingis as the said erll bruikit the samin in tymes bipast; and lykwayes the gift grantit be oure said soverane lord to his said richt traist cousing and counsallour David, erle of Craufurd and his foirsaidis for the saidis spaces allanerlie of the landis and baronie of Dowglass and baronie of Dunsyre, quhilk is worth be yeir and extendis to the soume of fyve hundreth merkis usuall money of this realme, in the quhilk sowme the said Dame Margaret Leslie was infeft be hir selff, to be upliftit and tane up furth of the samin landis in speciall warrandice and securitie of the saidis landis and baronie of Bothwell ay and quhill scho gat entrie to the samin be deceis of Dame Margaret Maxwell, countes of Anguss, conforme to the tennour of the contract of mariage; and decernis and declairis the same infeftment to haif full strenth, force and effect in all tyme cuming as is contenit thairintill, efter the forme and tennour thairof, expreslie declairing be thir presentis that the foirsaidis landis is not, nor salbe, onyways comprehendit under oure soverane lordis revocatioun maid at this present parliament, bot the samin is and sall be exceptit, lyk as oure said soverane lord, with advise foirsaid, be the tennour heirof, exceptis the same furth of the said revocatioun; and alsua decernis this present declaratioun and exceptioun is, and salbe, of als greit force, strenth and effect as gif the samin had bene contenit and insert thairin to the effect the said David, erle of Craufurde may peceably bruik and joyse the saidis landis and baroneis, with thair pertinentis particularlie abonewrettin, conforme to the titillis thairof foirsaidis, with lettres of publicatioun to pas heirupoun, gif neid beis, in forme as effeiris.
