Oure soverane lord, with avise and consent of the thrie estatis of this present parliament, hes ratefeit and apprevit and, be the tennour heirof, ratefeis and apprevis and confermis the lettre of presentatioun, gift and dispositioun maid be our said soverane lord, with avise of the lordis of his secrete counsell, to Harie Stewart, brother germane to his hienes richt traist cousigne and counsalour James, erll of Arrane, lord Hammyltoun, and his airis heretablie, of all and haill the ferd part of the landis of Gogar Nether, with their partis, pendicles and pertinentis, lyand within the schirefdome of Edinburgh, quhilkis contenit heretablie befoir to umquhile James, sumtyme erll Mortoun, or ony of his naturall sonnis, haldin be thame of Robert Logane of Restalrig, as immediat superiour to thame thairof, and become in our soverane lordis handis and pertenit to his hienes dispositioun throw proces of foirfaltour ordourlie led aganis the said umquhile James, sumtyme erll of Mortoun, for certane crymis of treasoun and lesemajestie committit be him quhairof he wes convict, and be reasoun of the act of parliament berand that nane of the bairnis, lawfull nor naturall, gottin or to be gottin, be quhatsumevir persoun or personis convict or that heirefter sall happin to be convict of art, part, knawlege and conceling of the horrible murthuris of our soverane lordis umquhile darrest father and twa regentis salbruik na heritages, rowmes nor possessionis within this realm, as in the saidis lettres of presentatioun direct be our said soverane lord under the testimoniall of the great seall to the said Robert Logane of Restalrig, superiour foirsaid, for infefting of the said Harie Stewart and his saidis airis in immediat heretable tennentis to him thairof at mair lenthe is contenit, togidder with the infeftmentis and uther rychtis maid be the said Robert Logane of Restalrig, superior foirsaid, to the said Harie Stewart for obeying of the saidis lettres of presentatioun, or be quhatsumevir uther way, of the said ferd part towne and landis of Nether Gogar, with the partis, pendicles and pertinentis thairof, at ony tyme bypast sen the said foirfalture. Attoure, our said soverane lord, with avise foirsaid, willis and grantis and, for his hienes and his successouris, decernis, ordinis and declaris that this his hienes ratificatioun is now and salbe heirefter of als great strenthe, force and effect to the said Harie Stewart and airis as gif the saidis lettres of presentatioun and infeftmentis followand thairupoun wer at lenth contenit heirin, and that the samyn lettres of presentatioun and infeftment ar guid and sufficient titillis, and now is and salbe heirefter in all tymes cumming of full strenth, force and effect to the said Harie and his airis for bruiking and joysing of the said ferd part of the toun and landis of Nether Gogar, with the pertinentis, notwithstanding quhatsumevir his hienes revocationis, generall or speciall, maid or to be maid, yea, notwithstanding quhatsumevir benefite, grace or pacificatioun grantit or to be grantit in the contrair, under the quhilkis his hienes willis that the saidis titillis salbe nawayis comprehendit, notwithstanding quhatsumevir actis or constitutionis maid in the contrare, anentis the quhilkis his hienes dispens be thir presentis and that this act be largelie interprete in favouris of the said Harie and his foirsaidis.
