Forsamekill as it hes plesit the kingis majestie, oure soverane lord, with advise of his thrie estatis conit in parliament, upoun the resignatioun of the abbot and convent of Scone of the temporall landis of the said abbay, quhairof ane greit part partenit of auld to the erledome of Gowrye, to infeft heretablie his rycht traist cusing and counsallour Williame, now erle of Gowrye, lord Ruithven and Dirletoun, his hienes thesaurar, in the saidis temporall landis and few maillis thairof, erectand the samyn in ane erledome, to be callit the erledome of Gowrye in tyme cumming, quhairthrow the saidis abbot and convent ar not able to pay the feall thrid of the said abbay according to the first assumptioun, thay being now denudit of the saidis temporall landis, quhilkis for the maist pairt war assumit of before in payment of the said thrid; quhairfore his majestie, be advise of his thrie estatis in this present parliament, ordanis and commandis his collectour generall and lordis auditouris of his hienes chaker to alter the assumptioun of the thrid of the abbay of Scone and to tak the just thrid of the haill rentis of the said abbay restand attour the yeirlie few maillis and dewteis of the saidis temporall landis, assumand the said thrid of the radiest of the dewteis, othir money or victuallis payit for the kirkis and teindis of the said abbay, begynnand of the crope and yeir of God jM vC lxxxj yeiris present, and sa furth yeirlie in tyme cumming, quhill fardar ordour be takin anent the thrid of the said abbay be his hienes, with advise of his estatis in parliament; and that thair be na mair assignit to be payit furth of the thrid of the said abbay, owther in ministeris stipendis or in payment of quhatsumevir pensiones, giftis or uther assignationes accustomet to be payit out of the thrid of the said abbay of before, bot according to the said thrid now to be assumet thairof of this present yeir and crope and na utherways; and ordanes lettres of publicatioun to be directit heirupoun, gif neid beis, in forme as efferis.
