And for punisment of the slayers of reid fische in forbiddin tyme be bleiss, casting of wandis or utherwise, or distroyaris of the smoltis and fry of salmond in myln dammis or be polkis, creillis, trammelnettis and herry watteris, that the schireffis, stewartis, baillies and lordis of regalities within thair awin jurisdictionis proceid as ordiner justices and uptak and execut the panes and eschaettis, the tua pairt to the kingis majesties use, and the thrid to thame selffis for thair travellis; and quhair the offendouris hes not geir worth the panes, to put and hald thame in presoun, stokkis or yrnis for the space of ane moneth upoun thair awin expensis, or gif they have it not, on breid and watter.
