1. The following text is misplaced chronologically in APS, being placed after, rather than before, the parliament of July 1578. Some of it is from what appears to be an augmented privy council. Only the meeting in June (see A1578/3/15) is actually a proper convention of estates, including burgh commissioners. It should be noted, however, that a number of the items of business include the phrase 'nobilitie and estaitis'. Back
