The court of parliament of the said prince held at Edinburgh on 23 September 1534 by the lords commissioners written below, namely the venerable father in Christ Robert [Reid], abbot of Kinloss, the noble and powerful lord John [Erskine], lord Erskine, Nicholas Crawford [of Oxgangs], justice clerk, James Lawson, provost of Edinburgh, and Thomas Scott [of Pitgorno], with Patrick Baron [of Spittalfield], deputy of [William Hay, earl of Erroll], constable, Gilbert Wauchope [of Niddrie- Marischal], deputy of [William Keith, earl] Marischal, Andrew Dalmahoy, sergeant, and John Anderson, dempster.
