Procedure: preamble

In the parliament of the most excellent prince and lord, our lord James V, by the grace of God most illustrious king of Scots, held at Edinburgh on 18 September 1528 by the lords commissioners written below, namely Master Adam Otterburn of Auldhame [and Reidhall], Nicholas Crawford of Oxgangs, John Mauchan, William Adamson and William Lauder, bailies of Edinburgh, contained in the special commission, along with Edward Little, deputy of lord [William Keith, earl] Marischal, created and deputed that day, [Neil]Cairncross, deputy of lord [William Hay, earl of Erroll], constable, Andrew Dalmahoy, sergeant, and John Anderson, dempster. On the which day the suits were called and the court fenced.

Procedure: continuation of parliament

On the which day the said court of parliament was continued, with all actions and causes following thereon and pending from above, in the form and effect which they are now, until Tuesday, 1 December next to come, with continuation of days, without prejudice of the parties.

Proclamation the same day

We do to you make known that our sovereign lord, with the advice and consent of the lords of his council, for certain considerations moving his grace, has continued and continues this present parliament, with all actions and causes concerning the same, in form, force and effect as they are now, until 4 December 1528, with continuation of days, without prejudice of party.
