The king's grace, with the advice and consent of the three estates of his realm in this present parliament, ratifies and approves the gift of liferent made before by [James IV], our sovereign lord that last deceased, of good mind, whom God absolve, to his beloved Marion Bonkle, of the lands of Auchenskeoch, Clonyard, Glenstocken and other lands within the lordship of Galloway in all points and articles after the form of the said gift, notwithstanding any acts made in the contrary.

The king's grace ratifies and approves the gift of pension of the sum of £40 made before to Master John Chisholm of the great customs of the burgh of Edinburgh in all points and articles after the form and tenor of the said gift, notwithstanding any acts or revocation made in the contrary.

The king's grace, with the advice and consent of his three estates foresaid, ratifies and approves the gift of the office of directory of his chancellery made to his beloved friend Patrick Houston of that Ilk, with all fees and duties pertaining thereto, in all points and articles after the form and tenor of the said gift of the date 19 June 1526.

Our sovereign lord, with the advice, consent and authority of his three estates in this present parliament, ratifies, approves and confirms the gift made by his highness of before, with the advice of John [Stewart], duke of Albany, his tutor for the time, to George [Home], lord Home, of all and whole the lands, possessions, tacks, steadings, goods, movable and immovable, pertaining to the late Alexander [Home], lord Home, his brother, in all points and articles after the tenor of the said gift, and if need be gives him the same after the tenor of the said old gift and to be extended in the best form.

The king's grace, with the advice and consent of the three estates of his realm in this present parliament, has required and requires the most reverend father in God James [Beaton], archbishop of St Andrews, commendator of Dunfermline, to cease from all proceedings against our sovereign lord's lieges who have tacks of any part of his lands, by himself or by his commissioners by virtue of any commission, other than in accordance with the common law and use and consuetude of this realm, and that letters be directed hereupon etc.
