Procedure: preamble

The court of parliament of our supreme lord, the king, held at Edinburgh on 15 February 1524 [1525] by the lords commissioners written below, namely the venerable father in Christ John [Campbell], bishop elect of the Isles, the noble and powerful lord John [Forbes], lord Forbes, William Scott of Balwearie, Mr John Campbell of Lundie, John Stirling of Keir, and James Colville of Ochiltree, appointed by special commission of the said supreme lord, our king, produced and read in the same place, along with Andrew Dalmahoy, sergeant, and John Anderson, judge [dempster]. On the which day, the suits called, the court fenced.

Procedure: appointment of officers of parliament

On the which day the aforesaid lords commissioners created and appointed William Forbes of Corsindae, deputy of [William Keith], earl Marischal, John Stirling of Keir, deputy of [William Hay], earl of Erroll, constable, for acting in the said offices in the aforesaid parliament, and they have sworn oaths thereupon.
