At the tenth hour before noon
In the year etc. [14]93, the eleventh indiction, in the first year of the pontificate of Pope Alexander VI, in the presence of the lords auditors of causes and complaints of parliament and the lord chancellor, there compeared an honourable man, Alexander Glaster of Glack, not led by force or fear, nor in error, but, as he claimed, of his own will, [and] confirmed the gift, grant and sale previously made by him to John Gordon of Auchleuchrie, concerning the lands of Hiltoun, Crombiny, the lands of Little Wartle and the lands of Harlaw, with the pertinents, and all obligations made thereupon, and furthermore declared on his soul that, of his pure free will and deliberate spirit, uncompelled and [without] constraint, made the aforesaid infeudations, conditions, obligations and charters to the said John, and on that occasion the aforesaid Alexander Glaster revoked, challenged and nullified, just as by the tenor of the present instrument he, on his soul, revokes, challenges and nullifies, anysoever procurators with letters of assignation or of any power made or to be made by the said Alexander to anysoever person or persons, for the molesting troubling or disturbing of the said John, his heirs or assignees in the possession of the said lands, declaring that the aforesaid procurators, if any there be in the future, in or out of court, be of no strength or effect; and furthermore, the same Alexander declared on his soul that the gift made by him by charter and precept of sasine to the aforesaid John Gordon in respect of the lands of Crombiny, with the pertinents, was of his free will as aforesaid written, sealed and delivered by him to the said John a full year or more before the aforesaid Alexander had any sort of communication with the laird of Innes or with James Douglas concerning the said lands.

7 June, the lords auditors sat except [John Lyon], lord Glamis, [Laurence Oliphant, lord] Oliphant, [Alexander Inglis], archdeacon of St Andrews, [and] Master Richard Lawson
The lords auditors appoint 8 October next, with continuation of days, for Robert Ramsay, the son and heir of the late Alexander Ramsay, to prove sufficiently that John of Anysle has been contented and paid the sum of 100 merks owed to him through the said late Alexander's obligation for [a] contract of marriage shown and produced before the lords, and ordain him to have letters to produce his proof that he will use in the said matter, and both parties are summoned according to the act.

In the presence of the lords auditors James [Stewart], earl of Buchan requested a note that Giles Cockburn, the spouse of the late Alexander Murray, did not produce either a joint infeftment or confirmation of the lands of Shillinglaw.

In the presence of our sovereign lord the king and these undernoted lords, that is to say the reverend and venerable fathers in God George [Brown], bishop of Dunkeld, William [Elphinstone], bishop of Aberdeen, Andrew [Stewart], bishop of Moray, John [Hepburn], prior of St Andrews, Henry [Abercrombie], abbot of Cambuskenneth and Robert [Ker], abbot of Kelso; the noble and mighty lords Archibald [Douglas], earl of Angus etc., chancellor of Scotland, Patrick [Hepburn], earl of Bothwell, Archibald [Campbell], earl of Argyll, William [Keith], earl Marischal, James [Stewart], earl of Buchan, Alexander [Home], lord Home, John [Lyon], lord Glamis, Andrew [Gray], lord Gray, Hugh [Montgomery], lord of Montgomery, Laurence [Oliphant], lord Oliphant, James [Ogilvy], lord Ogilvy of Airlie, Master Alexander Inglis, archdeacon of St Andrews, Master John Fraser, dean of Restalrig, clerk register, Sir John the Ross of Montgreenan, knight, and Master Richard Lawson, John of Edmonstone of that Ilk loyally and truly promised that he will not sell, alienate, wadset or keep any of his lands, rents, possessions or inheritance from John of Edmonstone, his son and heir apparent, and the heirs born or to be born by him and Isobel Home, his spouse, in any manner of way in the future, and [he] renounces all privilege of alienation for it and agreed to be interdicted and suspended from it, with certification if he makes or intends to make any alienation of any part of his lands, rents, possessions or inheritance which may prejudice, damage, hurt or injure the said John, his son, or to his heirs born or to be born as is said, that the said alienation shall be of no value, strength, force or effect, and public proclamation [is] to be made of it at the market cross of the principal burghs in all shires where he has any lands or inheritance, to inform all our sovereign lord's lieges that they [are not to] make a contract of any alienation with him in the future, with certification as is said that the same shall be of no value according to the form of a bond and contract previously made for that. And for this our sovereign lord, with the advice of the aforesaid lords, with the consent of party, by royal authority interdicts the said John of Edmonstone and of his own consent decides he is interdicted from all kind of alienation of any of his lands, rents, possessions or inheritance that he has at this time.

In the presence of the king's highness and the said lords John Edmonstone of that Ilk, that despite his consent previously made by him that he should not alienate or put away any of his lands, rents or possessions from John Edmonstone, his son and heir apparent, and agreed [for] him to be interdicted from that, that was only for the lands that he had in his possession at the time, and despite his protest that if he happened to gain any lands after this date it should be lawful for him to convey it and alienate such lands to be gained by him as is said.
