Procedure: preamble

In the parliament of the most excellent prince and our lord, the lord James III, by the grace of God most illustrious king of Scots, held and begun at Edinburgh on 11 January 1487 [1488] and the 28th year of the reign of the aforesaid supreme lord our king, on which day, with the suits being called and the court fenced, the absentees were made public.

Procedure: continuation

The aforesaid parliament was continued by the lords commissioners with sufficient power for this until next Monday 14 January, with continuation of days, with all actions, causes and quarrels pertaining to the said parliament in the same form and effect as they are now.
