[Oaths taken; acts approved]

The rolls called.

[Charles Gordon], earl of Aboyne took the oath of allegiance and oath of parliament.

This day the lord commissioner's grace, in the presence of the parliament, did, with his majesty's royal sceptre, touch the acts formerly passed in this parliament, as a testimony of his majesty's royal assent thereto.

Act passed for supplying the want of the signet in the passing of summons against such as are to be summoned to the parliament.

The king's majesty and estates of parliament appoint that summons of treason may be directed and used upon 21 days, notwithstanding of any law, acts or custom to the contrary.

Act annulling the convention of estates in 1643, and rescinding the acts of parliament ratifying the same, approved and touched by the sceptre.

Act rescinding the fourth act of 29 June 1644 being read, was approved and touched with the sceptre.

A proclamation passed against quakers.

Act passed concerning Mr Robert Hodge for £8,000 and the annualrents thereof to [William Ramsay, earl of] Dalhousie etc., in name of the shire of Lothian.
