Commission to Mr John Preston, Major John Biggar, John Denholm of Muirhouse, [Edward] Edgar, younger of Peffermill, Mr William Little of Overliberton and William Robertson in Southouse, or any three of them, for judging of Janet Matheson, Margaret Reid, Bessie Wilson, Margaret Watson, Gilbert Wynd, Christine Bell, Agnes Bowie and Janet Niddrie in Gilmerton, persons charged as guilty of the abominable crime of witchcraft, their depositions being attested under the hands of the ministers and elders of the kirk session of Liberton etc., with power to the said commissioners or quorum foresaid to secure any others within the said parish who are suspected and shall be accused etc.
