[List of burghs commissioners elected to the committee of estates; protest over precedency]

Prayers heard and rolls called.

List of the burghs voted in parliament to be upon the committee of estates: Sir John Smith [of Grotehill], Sir William Dick [of Braid], Archibald Sydserf, James Roughead, David Wilkie, Hugh Hamilton, John Milne, [James Monteith], Alexander Strang, Sir Alexander Wedderburn [of Blackness], Robert Davidson, Sir Patrick Leslie [of Iden], [Sir Robert Farquhar [of Mounie], Andrew Glen], Mr John Cowan, James Sword, James [Lentron, James Hamilton, James Bell, elder, Colin] Campbell, George Jamieson, George Gardyne, John Boswell, Robert White [of Pourain], John Lindsay, Alexander Cunningham, James Peddie, John Auchterlony, David Spence, James MacCulloch, John Burnside, Hugh Kennedy, John Forbes [of Culloden], John Scott, Andrew Grant [of Balhaggillis], Robert Arnott, Alexander Bower, John Rutherford, David Simpson and Duncan Nairn.

[James Murray], earl of Tullibardine, in name of [John Murray], earl of Atholl, protested that the placing of the earl of Atholl in the rolls as he is now placed by this roll after the earl of Moray and others therein contained should in no way prejudice him of his right of dignity and priority of place in sitting and voting in parliament according to his just right and title of honour, but that it may be lawful to the said earl of Atholl to claim and pursue for his just right place and dignity before any placed in the roll before him prejudicial to his right and place according to the law.
