General Major Robert Montgomery, in name of [Alexander Montgomery], earl of Eglinton, further protested against the protestation made on 2 June by [William Cunningham], earl of Glencairn against the calling of the earl of Eglinton in the rolls of parliament before the earl of Glencairn, and thereupon asked instruments.
[James Livingstone], earl of Callander protested that the calling of [Alexander Leslie], earl of Leven before him in the rolls of parliament may not prejudice him of his right and dignity of priority of place in sitting and voting in parliament before the said earl of Leven, and thereupon asked instruments.
The earl of Leven protested in the contrary, and thereupon asked instruments.
The bond for securing religion subscribed by the earls [John Fleming, earl of] Wigtown, [James Murray, earl of] Annandale and [James Livingstone, earl of] Callander, lords [James Leslie, lord] Lindores and [John Hamilton, lord] Belhaven.
