After calling of the rolls, [William Cunningham], earl of Glencairn protested that the calling of [Alexander Montgomery], earl of Eglinton before him in the roll of parliament should in no way prejudice him in the right of priority of sitting and voting in parliament, and thereupon asked instruments.
The act anent the securing of religion and work of reformation and the bond relative thereto read in parliament, and the bond signed by the noblemen lately come to the parliament, who likewise took the oath of parliament, it being read to them.
His majesty and parliament adjoin [Sir Thomas Nicolson of Carnock], lord advocate, to the committee appointed for revising the acts of the committee of estates, and ordain them to take trial if [Sir Robert Dalzell], earl of Carnwath has been excluded, and if he has been excluded and if he can ex[...]† if he satisfied the kirk, ordain him not to proceed to the parliament until the report.
His majesty and parliament give power and warrant to the lairds [John Barclay of] Johnstoun-[Barclay], [George Hay of] Naughton, Sir James Murray, Sir Robert Farquhar [of Mounie], Andrew Glen and George Gardyne to divide the baggage horse proportionally in the several shires and report to the parliament.
†Supplication noblemen and gentlemen within the shires of Ayr and Renfrew read in parliament, and the act formerly granted to General Major Montgomery ordained not to be extracted until further orders, and ordain one of every estate to be named by the bodies to wait upon the king's majesty, and to hear the interested parties.
†Supplication countess of Airth read and remitted to the committee for revising the acts of the committee of estates, and ordain them to think upon some way how the desire of the supplication may be made effectual.
†Remit to the several bodies to consider what committees or commissioners shall be thought fit to be appointed for the interval of parliament and their power, and how soon the parliament may adjourn and to what time, to the effect the parliament may be brought to a closure so soon as possible can be conveniently.

His majesty and parliament add [Robert Arbuthnott], viscount of Arbuthnott to the committee appointed for revising the books of the committee for the affairs of the army.
†The noblemen nominate for them to be upon the committee for the bill given in by the shire of Stirling and the tenants of Kilsyth [John Kennedy], earl of Cassilis and [Charles Seton, earl of] Dunfermline, the barons added [Alexander Strachan of] Glenkindie and [James Blair of] Ardblair, burghs nominate John Short and William Walker.
