[Remit to the committee of estates concerning the sentence of forfeiture pronounced against the earl of Carnwath]

Remit in favour of [Sir Robert Dalzell], earl of Carnwath to the committee of estates

31 March 1651

At Perth, 31 March 1651. The which day it being moved in plain parliament by his majesty that Sir Robert Dalzell might be preferred to his former honour and dignity only against the sentence of forfeiture led and prosecuted against him, which being taken into consideration by the said estates of parliament, his majesty and estates aforesaid have remitted and remit to the committee of estates to take the said motion into consideration so far as concerns the restitution of the said Sir Robert to the dignity only, and that Gavin [Dalzell], now earl of Carnwath, his son, may be called and heard, and to settle the parties and determine therein.
