[Remit to the committee for managing the affairs of the army concerning arrears due to the garrison of Stirling]

Remit anent the garrison of Stirling

At Perth, 31 March 1651. Our sovereign lord and estates of parliament, now presently convened in this seventh session of this second triennial parliament, taking into their consideration a desire given in to them by the officers and soldiers of the garrison of Stirling, craving that some effectual course may be taken for payment to the officers for the three bygone months of pay owing to them. Which being taken into consideration by our sovereign lord and the said estates of parliament, they find the desire thereof just and reasonable, and therefore do remit and earnestly recommend to the committee for the army to take into consideration the three months' pay due to the garrison of Stirling before any other business, with power to them to take any effectual course for their speedy satisfaction and to determine therein as they shall think fit.
