Supplication George Campbell and James Kerr, with the opinion of the committee of bills thereupon, read and passed, and [Sir Thomas Nicolson of Carnock], lord advocate, ordained to draw an act thereupon. And the same for Alexander Innes, according to his supplication.
Supplication heritors and tenants of Enzie and Strathbogie, Cabrach and Gartly read and passed.
†Report concerning the wrong allegedly done to the English officers read and remitted back to the same committee, with the two English gentlemen or any of them, that exact trial may be taken and the offenders severely punished to the terror of others, for which his majesty and parliament grant them full commission and power.
It being put to the question whether the power to be contained in the two commissions, namely: the commission to the committee of estates and the commission to the committee for managing the affairs of the army, should be determined by a committee selected of the several bodies or presently by the whole house, it was voted to be determined presently by the house.
