Act continuing the sitting of the session until 1 July
30 May 1650
At Edinburgh, 30 May 1650. Forasmuch as the estates of parliament, now presently convened in this fifth session of this second triennial parliament, taking into their consideration that during the sitting of this present session of parliament the lords of session cannot conveniently sit for administration of justice to the lieges, have therefore thought fit to adjourn and continue the sitting of the lords of session until 1 July next to come, therefore the said estates of parliament have ordained and ordain all our sovereign lord's lieges whom it concerns to be ready to attend the down-sitting of the said lords of session on the said 1 July next to come, and ordain public intimation to be made hereof at the market cross of Edinburgh by sound of trumpet, that none pretend ignorance.
