Supplication Captain William Ballantyne presented by Mr David Dick, with certain other commissioners of the general assembly, read and passed and the supplicant restored to his charges.
The estates ordain a commission to be directed to [...] to do justice upon George Drummond, son to Balloch, and the grounds of indictment to be drawn by [Sir Thomas Nicolson of Carnock], lord advocate, and sent there for that effect.
The estates ordain [Archibald Campbell], marquis of Argyll, Sir John Chiesley [of Kersewell] and George Porterfield to call the sheriff of Bute before them and to examine what may be said against his commission and report.
