Supplication [Alexander Montgomery], earl of Eglinton and Colonel Robert Montgomery read and remitted, with the instructions thereof, to the committee of processes, and delivered as in the documents.

Report from the committee of bills concerning [Sir David Home], laird of Wedderburn read and passed without prejudice of the earl of Eglinton's former right and his son's.

[George Buchanan], laird of Buchanan protested that any right or assignation given of [Archibald Napier], lord Napier's fine or sentence to be pronounced against him should not prejudice his lawful creditors, whereof he is one.

[Sir Thomas Nicolson of Carnock], lord advocate, protested in the contrary, and that it should not prejudice the public.

Remit to the committee of fines anent the widow of the late George Gillespie as in the documents.

The declaration to be given by the several officers of the army remitted to the several bodies, and ordain the committee for the commissary-general's accounts to go on and close notwithstanding of the paper.

[Orders to the troops; committee for prisoners, processes, fines and forfeitures ordered to meet]

The estates of parliament ordain the lieutenant general to give orders to the whole officers to proceed to the several committees of war within the shires, to the effect the said committees of war may, with advice of the officers, so quarter their troops, as they may at any time be drawn to a rendezvous within six hours' time; and that they be not limited to two parishes as is expressed already in some orders sent to the officers.

The estates appoint the troops upon 5 days' advertisement and the foot upon 10 days' advertisement from the general muster-master to be ready to muster under the pain of one month's maintenance to the officers.

The estates ordain the committee of processes and fines to meet anent Assynt and Mr Robert Farquhar [of Mounie's] business on Monday at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

[Remit to the committee for dispatches concerning garrisons; warrant to the provost of Edinburgh and others concerning the health of Alexander Charters]

Remit to the committee of dispatches with the general officers to consider what garrisons they will keep up and what garrisons they will remove upon surety to be given by the owners of the garrisons, and to report their opinion relating thereto to the parliament.

Warrant given to [Sir James Stewart of Kirkfield and Coltness], provost of Edinburgh, and a physician and a surgeon to pass and visit Alexander Charters and see what condition he is in, and if he be able to come in to the parliament house, and to report upon Tuesday, that then he may either be brought to parliament and receive sentence or otherwise the sentence be intimated to him as they shall think fitting.

Ordain three of every body to be named to be a committee for revising commissions to the parliament and considering the capacity of persons sitting in parliament, [...] [Arthur Forbes of] Echt, [John Swinton of] Swinton and [Sir John Chiesley of] Kersewell.

Ordain the bodies to meet on Monday at 10 o'clock before noon, and the committees of valuations and exchequer to meet at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, and the parliament to meet on Tuesday at 9 o'clock.
