Letter from the lieutenant general to [Archibald Campbell], lord marquis of Argyll of 27 May read. The parliament approves of the warrant given by the marquis of Argyll anent the bringing in of Captain Hall's ship to Leith.

Letter from [John Sinclair], lord Sinclair to James Graham, [earl of Montrose], which was received out of Captain Hall's ship with these other papers, namely: the oaths of the ministers of Orkney and Caithness, letter to James Graham from gentlemen of Shetland, oath of the gentlemen of Caithness, read in parliament and remitted to the committee of dispatches, reserving [Colonel James Campbell of] Lawers' assignment.

Supplication Sir John Sinclair of Dunbeath read, with the act of the committee of estates anent his reparation, remitted to the committee for Mr Robert Farquhar [of Mounie's] business.

Letter from Colonel Gilbert Kerr to [John Campbell, earl of Loudoun], lord chancellor, of 28 May 1650 read and remitted to the committee of dispatches, with power to them to give a reward to those who found out the papers mentioned in the letter.

The estates of parliament ordain that if the bark mentioned in the letter shall be found to belong to the public, that she and what is in her shall be bestowed upon that which shall be found necessary for the recruiting of those troops that were at the fight.

The estates of parliament ordain a committee to be chosen of four of every estate to be named by the bodies, and give to them the power contained in the paper given in by the barons anent those who have been accessory to the late rebellion in the north, and appoint the laird of Assynt to be first satisfied of what shall be received that way. [Sir James Stewart of Kirkfield and Coltness], commissary-general, did represent to the parliament that he was content to demit his place as commissary-general and desired his offer to be recorded. The parliament ordains him to give in his desire in writing.

The estates adjourn the session to 1 July next, and ordain this to be intimated to the lieges at the cross of Edinburgh that the lieges attend the session then.

Warrant given to the magistrates of Edinburgh to receive the prisoners who are come over with Lieutenant Gilbert Campbell.
