The parl[iament] conveined, prayers said; the rolls called and absents marked.
George, e[arl] of Caithnes, haveing this day made his first appearance in parl[iament], tooke the oath of alledgeance and of parl[iament] and subscribed the declaration, and tooke his place in parl[iament].
Therefter the said e[arl] protested for precedencie against the e[arls] of Eglingtone, Glencairne and Cassills.
Therefter the scroll of the act anent the peace was tuise read.
Sir John Cunningham moved that seing the said act was a concerne of many shyrs, the same might be laid open till the commissioners of the shyres might consider it. And that the act for farder securing the Protestant religione might be brought in.
Lo[rd] advocat ansueared that the act of ratification of the Protestant religion was already past and that this act is for farder security theranent; and that ane other act was to be brought anent the furder securing of the Protestant religion.
The forsaid act was laid open.
The act anent the supplea was tuched with the shepter.
The articles wer appointed to sitt on Moonday nixt at 9 houres, the parl[iament] adjourned till 10 houres the said day.
Prayers said be the b[ishop] of Edinburgh.
