Our soveraign lord, as king and as prince and stewart of Scotland, with the speciall advice and consent of his estates of parliament, be thir presents ratifies and approves ane chartor granted by his majestie, under his great seale, with the advice and consent of the commissioners of his majesties' thesaurie and exchequer, dated the eight day of Julie jM vjC and sevinty-sex years, to and in favors of his majesties' lovit Coline Campbell of Ormadill, and his airs male whatsomever, whilks failyeing to his nearest aires and assigneyes whatsomever, heretablie and irredeemablie, without any maner of reversion, regress or redemption whatsomever, off all and haill the ten merk land of old extent of Auchadaderriffe and Ardaphubill, with the mannor place, housses, biggings, yairds, orchyairds, dowcats, woods, alswell oak as other trees, fishings, lochs, moss, muirs, meadowes, pasturages, sheillings, communities, milne, milnelands, multures and sequells thereof, pairts, pendicles, priviledges and pertinents of the samen whatsomever, lyand in Cowall and shirefdome of Argyle. As also, off all and haill the tuentie pound, sex shilling, eight pennie land of old extent of Stronkinknock, viz, the lands of Ormadill, the lands of Innerneillmore, the lands of Ardgalchrage and Bealloch, the lands of Ardincraiffe, the lands of Lairichbuy, the lands of Auchintean, the lands of Fernoch, the lands of Congachie, the lands of Fiorlin-More, togither with the Isle of Ellangreag, with the castle, tower and fortalice thereof, and remanent isles pertaining to the saids lands, with the mannor place, housses, biggings, yairds, orchyairds, dowcats, woods, alswell oak as other trees, lochs, marishes, muirs, meadows, pasturages, sheillings, communities, tennents, tennendries, service of free tennents, with the milnes, milnelands, multures and sequells of the samen, pairts, pendicles and pertinents thereof whatsomever, all unit, annexed and incorporat in ane haill and free baronie, called the baronie of Ormadill, lyand in Cowall and shirefdome of Argyle, proceeding upon the said Coline Campbell of Ormadill his owne resignation, togither with the clause of novo damus therein contained, and dispensation anent the taking of ane seasing upon any pairt of the saids lands of Auchadaderriffe and Ardaphubill, or at the said castle and tower of Ellangreag, or any other pairt or portion of the saids lands, to be sufficient for the whole; to be holden the saids lands of Auchadaderriff and Ardaphubill of his majestie, as king, and the said tuentie pound, sex shilling, eight pennie land of Stronkinknock, comprehending as said is, as prince and stewart of Scotland, in taxt ward, for payment of the yearlie taxt ward dewties underwritten, viz, for the ward and nonentrie of the said Coline Campbell, his airs and successors for the saids lands of Auchadaderriffe and Ardaphubill, when the samen shall happen yearlie, during the whole space thereof, the soume of tuentie merks Scots money, at two termes in the year Whitsonday and Mertimas be equall portions, with the soume of tuentie merks money foresaid for the releiff thereof, when the samen shall happen, and for the mariage of the saids airs and successors, so oft as the samen shall happen to vaick, the soume of fourty merks money foresaid, and for the ward and nonentrie of the saids airs and successors for the foresaid tuenty pound, sex shilling, eight pennie land of Stronkinknock, comprehending as said is, when the samen shall happen during the whole space thereof, yearlie the soume of ane hundreth merks money foresaid, and for the releiff thereof, when the samen shall happen, the like soume of ane hundreth merks, with the soume of two hundreth merks money foresaid for the mariage of the airs and successors foresaids of the said Coline Campbell, when the samen shall happen to vaick, for payment of which yearlie taxt dewties and soumes of money respective abovewritten, the said waird, nonentrie, releiff and mariage are disponed, notwithstanding that the saids haill lands with the pertinents held formerlie simple waird of his majestie, with the precept of seasing contained in the end thereof and instrument of seasing following thereupon, togither with ane disposition granted be the said Coline Campbell of Ormadill, with consent of Duncan Campbell, his eldest laufull sone, to Archibald Campbell of Inchenarousk and Coline Campbell, his eldest laufull sone, and the airs male, tailyie and provision therein mentioned, of the saids ten merk land of Auchadaderriff and Ardaphubill with the pertinents, dated the sevinteenth day of February jM vjC and sevinty sex years, togither also with ane other disposition granted be the said Coline Campbell of Ormadill, with consent of his said sone, to the said Archibald Campbell, and his said sone, their airs male, tailyie and provision therein specified, of the foresaid tuenty pound, sex shilling, eight pennie land of Stronkinknock, comprehending and unit as said is, dated the sexteen day of May jM vjC and sevintie seven years, with the chartor and infeftment, following on both the saids dispositions and other grounds therin contained, under his majesties' great seale, dated the thrid day of August jM vjC and sevintie seven years, with the precept of seasing contained in the end thereof and instrument of seasing following thereupon, in all and sundrie the heads, clauses, articles, conditions and provisions therein contained. And his majestie wills and grants and, for him and his royall successors, with consent foresaid, decerns and ordaines that this present generall ratification shall be als valide, effectuall and sufficient to the said Coline Campbell of Ormadill, the said Archibald Campbell, and his said sone and their foresaids, as if the foresaid chartors, dispositions, precepts and instruments of seasing were all at length and word by word herein insert and ingrossed; whereanent his majestie hes dispensed and, be thir presents, with consent foresaid, dispenses for ever.
