The report concerning the double elections of the shyre of Stirling, being read, and in the debate severall questions having occurred in relation to appeirand aires, the maistiers of ane hospitall having a fourtie shilling land holden of the king, a partie having a disposition and resignation following therupon and in possession, albeit not infeft, if these ought to have a vote in election of commissioners to parliament, the parliament did give these resolutions. [1.] That appeirand airs, being in possession by vertue of their predicessor's infeftment of a fourtie shilling land of old extent holden of the king or prince, distinct from the fewdutys in fewlands, or wher the said old extent appears not, shall be infeft in lands lyable in publict burdings for his majesties' supplies for four hundred punds of valued rent, whether kirklands now holden of the king or other lands holding few waird or blensh of his majestie as king or prince of Scotland, may clame a vote in the election of commissioners. 2. That a maister of a hospital, having lands mortified therto holden of the king, being a fourtie shilling land or ten chalder of victuall being kirkland holden of the king, wherin the maister is infeft, may have a vote in the election of commissioners to parliament. 3. That during the running of the legall reversion of ane apprysing or adjudication, the debitor hes onlie right to vote in the election of commissioners and not the appryser or adjudger albeit he be infeft and in possession.
Thir resolves are afterward clearlie and fully determined by the act concerning the election of commissioners for shyres.
His royall highnes his majesties' commissioner adjournes the parliament until Wednisday at ten a clock.
