The act for the supply being againe read this day, some amendements were made therein, and it was referred to the lord register to receive in from any members of the convention lists of persons desyred to be insert in the act of convention, as commissioners for this assesment, to morrow in the forenoone, and appointed that those who had been nominat by the parliament or councill to be commissioners of excyse be also insert.
Resolved that the first day of meeting be condescended upon for ilk shyre and that [the] major part of the whole number be the quorum at the first meeting, and that the meeting be impowered to appoynt any other dyet of meeting at quich the major part of such as shall meet are to be a quorum, and the conveener be impowered to call the commissioners for seing the act of convention put in execution.
It being moved that the lyke clause may be insert in this act as was in the act of convention in the year 1667 anent the pole money, for releife of the heretors, and the samyn being put to the vote, it was caried in the negative.
The lord commissioner's grace adjourns the convention till to morrow at four of the cloak in the afternoon.
