Our soveraigne lord and the estates of this present parliament, ratifies, approves and perpetuallie confirmes the chartor and infeftment maid and granted be his majestie, undir his highnes['s] great seall, to and in favors of Sir William Grahame of Gartmore, knight and barronet, in lyfrent and to John Grahame, onlie lawfull sone procreat betuixt him and umquhile Lady Elizabeth Grahame, his spous, and the aires maill to be procreat of his body, quilkis failyieing to the other aires of taillie and provisione mentioned in the said chartor, with and undir the provisions and conditions therin exprest, off all and sundry the lands and others undirwrittine, to witt, of all and haill the tuelve merk land of old extent of Gartmore, with the cornemilne, milnelands, multurs and sequills therof, togidder with that pendicle of land called Badd, with pairts, pendicles, annexis, connexis and all their pertinents, lying within the stewartrie of Monteith and sherifdome of Perth; and siclyke, of all and haill the four merk land of old extent of Gartavertoun Lindsay, with all and sundry pairts, pendicles and pertinents therof whatsumever; as also, all and haill the westir halfe of the lands of Gartavertoune, called Thomaclaye, extending to two merk land of old extent, with toftis, crofts, pairts, pendicles and pertinents therof, sometime occupyed and possest be John Drummond and John Baggannoch; and all and haill that pendicle of land called Spittell, with houses, biggings, pairts, pendicles and pertinents therof whatsumever, all lyand within the said stewartrie of Monteith and sherifdome of Perth forsaid, and of old unite, erect and incorporate in ane haill and frie barronie, called the barronie of Gartmore, with the new gift and disposition therincontained of the saids lands, barronie and others abovewrittine, with the pertinents and of all right and title whatsumever which his majestie or his highnes['s] successors had, hes or any wayes may aske, clame or pretend therto, or to any pairt or portione therof, or to the mailles, fermes, profeits and dewties of the samyn, be whatsumever maner of way or for whatsumever cause, deid or occasione bygone preceiding the dait of the said chartor, togidder with the new erectione of the saids lands and others forsaids in ane haill and frie barronie to be called the said barronie of Gartmore, and the dispensation for taking seasine at the maner place of Gartmore, or upon the ground of anie pairt of the saids lands, which is to be sufficient for the haill, togidder also with the change of the holding of the samen lands, barronie and others forsaids, from simple ward to taxt ward, for payment of the soumes of money mentioned in the said chartor as the taxt dewties of the waird, releiff and nonentrie of the saids lands and barronie, and of the mariage of the aires succeiding therto, and the dispensatione therin exprest for the appearand aires and successors, to obtaine themselvis duelie and lawfullie served, retoured, entered, infeft and saised in the saids lands and barronie, notwithstanding they be minores for the tyme, which chartor is of the dait at Whitehall, the threttie day of Aprile lastbypast, togidder with the precept undir the testimoniall of the great seall following therupon, and instrument of saisine to be given, conforme therto, togidder in lykmaner with all other chartors, infeftments, precepts and instruments of sasine and other writtes, rights, titles and securities whatsumever maid and granted to the said Sir William Grahame of Gartmore, or to any of his predicessors or authors of and concerning the lands, barronie and others abovewrittine with their pertinents, of whatsumever dait or daits, tennor or contents the samyn be of, in all and sundrie the haill heads, articles, clauses, tennors and contents therof, circumstances and conditions therinmentionat, aftir the forme and tennor of the samyn, and declaires, statuts and ordaines that this present generall ratificatione is and shall be als valide, effectuall and sufficient, in all respects, as if the forsaid chartor and precept following therupon, and others writtes abovementioned, wer at lenth word be word insert in this present act of parliament, dispensing with the not inserting therof heirin and with all other objections, defects and imperfections whatsumever that may be proponed, objected or alledged against the validitie therof. And his majestie and estates of parliament forsaid, wills, grants, decernes and declaires that the forsaid chartor, with the precept following therupon and instrument of sasine to be given conforme therto, and this present ratification therof, shall be a good, valide and sufficient right to the said Sir William Grahame of Gartmore, and to the said John Grahame, his sone and their forsaids, to bruike, joyse and possess the lands, barronie and others abovewrittin contained in the said chartor, eftir the forme and tennor therof, as their owne propper heritage, heretablie in all tyme comeing.
