Our soveraigne lord and estates of this present parliament, does heirby ratifie, approve and perpetuallie confirme the chartor and infeftment maid and granted be his majestie, for himselfe and as prince and stewart of Scotland, undir his highnes['s] great seall, to and in favors of John Boyll of Kelburne, and the aires male lawfullie procreat or to be procreat of his owne body, quich failyieing to his nearest lawfull aires and assigneys whatsumever heretablie, off all and haill the lands of Craiglie, extending to ane two merk and a halfe merk land of old extent, with houses, biggings, yairds, partes, pendicles and pertinents therof, lying within the parochine of Larges, bailliarie of Cuninghame and sherifdome of Aire; and all and haill the ten pound land of old extent of Fairlie, comprehending therin the lands commonlie called Spittelflatt, the fourtie shilling land of Watersyde, and the fourtie shilling land of Blacketlie, which are pairts and pertinents of the said ten pound land of Fairlie, with the castle, tower, fortalice and maner place of Fairlie, houses, biggings, yairds, orchyairds, milnes, multurs and sequills therof, woods, fishings and haill pairtes, pendicles and pertinents of the samyn whatsumever; togidder with the burgh of barronie of Fairlie, and two weiklie mercats to be keeped therin upon Monday and Fryday, and one frie faire yearlie in the said burgh upon the fourth of November, which is to endure for the space of fourtie-eight houres, with the haill liberties, priviledges, immunities, tacks, customes and casualities of the saids weiklie mercats and yearlie faires, all lying in the bailliary of Cuninghame and sherifdome of Aire forsaid; and all and haill the two merk land of Halkhill, with the pertinents, and with the commone pasturage in the communtie and muire of Larges, and all and haill the halfe merk land commonlie called Flatkelso, with commone pasturage, in the said commontie and muire of Largis, and the halfe merk land lying above the toune of Largis, called the thrid part Cuninghame and Hanginghewgh, Reidhewgh and Braidcroft, and haill priviledges and pertinents of the samyn, all lying in the parochine of Larges, bailliary and sherifdome forsaid, with the new gift and dispositione of the lands and others abovewrittine, and change of the holding therof from simple to taxt waird, for payment of the taxed dewties mentioned in the said chartor, for the waird, nonentrie and releiff of the saids lands and mariage of the aires succeiding therto, which chartor is of the dait at Whitehall, the fourtein day of December jM vjC and sevintie-ane years; togidder also with the precept and instrument of sasine following therupon, in all and sundrie heads, articles, clauses, tennors and contents therof, circumstances and conditions thereincontained, aftir the forme and tennor of the samyn; and declaires, statutes and ordaines that this present generall ratificatione therof is and shall be als valide, effectuall and sufficient, in all respects, as if the samyn wer at lenth word be word insert in this present act of parliament, dispensing with the not inserting therof heirin, and with all other objections and exceptions whatsumever that may be proponed or alledged against the validitie therof. And his majestie and estates of parliament forsaid, wills, grants, decernes and declaires that the forsaid chartor, with the precept and instrument of seasing following therupon, and this present ratification therof, shall be a good, valide and sufficient right to the said John Boyll of Kelburne, and his forsaids, to bruike, enjoy and possess the lands and others abovewrittine therincontained, aftir the forme and tennor of the said chartor, as there owne propper heritage, heretablie in all time comeing.
