Unto my lord comissioner, his grace, and lords of the articles of the high court of parliament, the humble petition of the comissioners for regulating the valuation in Stirling shyre.
Sheweth,
That since the appoynting of the forsaids comissioners be the convention of estates in anno 1667, the deceasit Lord Elphingstoune and the deceast laird of Glorat, wha wer of thair number being removed be death, as also some uthers of thair number throw seeknesse and not residence in the shyre can not keep such meetings as is necessar, may it thairfore please your grace and lo[rds] to joyn to the petitioners to be comissioners as said is the earle of Wigtoun, the Lord Elphingstoune, the laird of Keir, the laird of Newtoune, the laird of Kinard, the laird of Herbertshyre and the laird of Touch, younger.

The lords of the articles, having considered this petitione, it is ther opinione that the persones above named be nominate and appoynted comissioners for the valuatione in the shyre above mentioned.
