[Petition of John Forbes of Culloden]

To his grace his majesties high commissioner and honoureable estates of parliament, the petitione of Johne Forbes of Collodine.

Humblie sheweth,

That the baronie of Ferrintosh, pertaineing heretablie to the petitioner, lyes in the mouth of the highlands, wher if ther wer yearlie faires ther might be a great resort of people, much tending not onlie to the petitioner's profeite, but also of all the leidges adjacent.

May it therefore please your grace and lo[rds] to conferre upon the petitioner two yearlie frie faires to be holden at Mulchaich in the said baronie, the one to begine the first Tuysday of March and the other the third Tuysday of November yearlie, and to continow for the space of thrie dayes. And your grace and lo[rds] answer.
