The b[ishop of] Argyl, Luss, McIntosh and Culloden took the oath of alledgance etc.
The report of the comittee for elections being presented to the parliament concerning the tuo elections of Stirline, and being considered and advysed be the parliament, the parliament approves the report and accordinglie finding that nether of the elections have beene formall and conforme to the acts of parliament, bot that both appeir to have beene partiallie carried on; doe therfor appoynt a new electione to be made of comissioners frome that shyre and, for that end, ordans the shiref clerk to give intimation to all the freholders and these who be act of parliament are capable to vote in the election or to be elected comissioners frome that shyre to meit at Stirlin upon the fourt day of November nixtocome; and that at that meiting the saids free holders and others aforesaid make choise of ane of ther nomber to be ther president, and then that they make choise of comissioners to this parliament, conforme to the lawis of the kingdome.
Forasmuch as diverse questions have arisen in the election of the comissioners from shyres to the parliament, whither or not such heretors and others who be law are capable to vote in the election or to be elected comissioners, being non residenters, not haveing ther constant residence within the shyrs, should be admitted as capable to vote, or to be elected; for clearing of this, his majestie, with advyce of his estates in parliament, declars that non residence sall be no exception why they may not elect or be elected comissioners.
The comissioner adjorns the parliament till Fryday at ten hours, and the articles to meit to morrow at ten hours.
