The second session of the first parliament of our most heigh and dread soverane, Charles, be the grace of God, king of Scotland, England, France and Ireland, defender of the faith, holden and begun at Edinburgh the eight day of May, one thousand, sex hundreth [and] threescore tuo yeers, be Johne, earle of Midletoun, lord Clermont and Fettercairne, be vertew of the speciall commission under his majesties' great seale, with the advice and consent of the estates of parliament underwritten, ther being also present the ordinarie officers, earle of Erroll, constable, earle of Marishall, Sir Robert Murray, provest of Edinburgh, Mr William Wallace, shirreff and Andrew Lothian, dempster.
