Our soverane lord, with advice and consent of the estats of this present parliament, ratifies and approves the vendition and alienation made be the magistrats councill and communitie of the burgh of Selkirk to and in favours of Johne Riddell of Hayning, his airs and assignayes, of the milne called the Burne milne, with the kill and schellinghill thairof and the watergate, clouss, dam and passages, priveledges, liberties, immunities and others spetially and particularly mentioned in the contract of alienation thairof past betuixt the said Johne and the said burgh theranent, dated at Selkirk, the sexteinth day of March last bypast, with the precept of sasine therincontained, resignation, charters, infeftment and others following thairupon, together with the act of the generall convention of burrowes made and granted be thame upon the tuentie day of the said moneth, ratifieing and approveing the said vendition and alienation with all that had followed or might follow thervpon, in all and sindrie the heids, clauses, articles, obleidgements, circumstances and conditions thairof, after the forme and tenor of the same in all poynts.
