The estates of parliament presently conveened by his majesties' speciall authority, haveing heard a petition presented unto them be Johne Coninghame of Beidland desyreing satisfaction of certane summs of money wherin he is superexpendit for the shire of Air, to which he wes collector before the yeer 1650, which petition being considered be the saids estates of parliament, and they haveing many testimonies of the honestie and good deportment of the said Johne Coninghame and also haveing heard the report of the commissiors for bills and trade theranent, the saids estates of parliament doe seriouslie recommend the condition of the said Johne Coninghame to the gentlemen and heritors of the said shire of Air that they may state his accompts what they are resting owing to him and that he may be payed therof accordingly.
