The earles of Cassills, Caithnes, Murray and Atholl and Lord Rosse protested that the calling the rolls of this parliament according as the nobility are ranked therin shall not prejudge them or any of them of their precedencies conforme to their patents, rights and creations.
This day the estates of parliament, noblemen, commissioners of shires and burrowes and officers of estate did take and swear the oath of alledgeance conforme to the act made theranent.

The king's majesties' commissioner represented vnto the parliament that it wes his majesties' expresse pleasour that the bodies, bones and head of the late marques of Montrose and Sir William Hay of Delgetie should be gathered and honorablie buried at his majesties' expence. Whairwith, the estates of parliament being well satisfied, did by ane vnanimous vote appoint the magistrats of Edinburgh to sie his majesties' will and pleasure heirin punctuallie observed and that they take the advice of the present marques of Montrose as to the manner of it.
The lord commissioner continewes the parliament till Tuisday.
