The erle of Tullibardyne, in name of the erle of Athoill, protested that the placeing of the erle of Athoill in the rolls as he now is placed be this roll efter the erle of Murrey and uthers therin conteanit should no wayes prejudge him of his ryght of dignitie and prioritie of place in sitting and voyceing in parliament according to his just ryght and tytill of honor, bot that it may be lawfull to the said erle of Atholl to clame and persew for his just ryght place and dignitie befor any placed in the roll befoir him prejudiciall to his ryght and place as accords of the law.

Thairefter Mr Thomas Hendersone, being callit and interrogatt if the letter whiche wes redd wes his hand wreit and subscryved be him, he did acknowledge the letter to be his hand wreit, whairwpon, haveing heard his explanationes verball anent the said letter, his matie and parliament, efter voyceing, did discharge the said Mr Thomas of his place as being clerk to the comittee of estaitts. And being therefter putt to the questione whither or not ther should be another clerk presentlie appoynted or to continow the nameing of another clerk till further tryell, it wes voyced presentlie, wharwpoun his matie wes pleased to name Sir Archibald Prymrois to be clerk to the committee of estaitts during his lyftyme, to whiche nominatioune the parliament gave ther assent and approbatioune. And his matie and parliament declairs that this nominatioune shall be but prejudice of the clerk of register's ryght. And his matie and parliament ordanes the said Mr Thomas to delyver to the said Sir Archibald all his warrands, registers and haill wreatts and papers whiche he hes belonging to the said place and charge, and ane act to be extendit heirwpoun.

The lord chancelar, haveing for exoneration of the clerk register givin notice to the parliament of the coming of the registers to Alloway, his matie and parliament remitts to the committee of estaitts to tak course for the speidie transport of the saids registers and papers, and ordanes the generall commissar to be at the charges of transporting theroff.

The king's matie and estates of parliament ordanes the comissioners appoynted [for] reveising and making inspectione of his maties rents to geive in thair accompts betuix and the first of Julii nixttocome.

It is the earnest desyre of the king's matie and parliament that the armye go to the feilds with all possible expeditione.
