Letter from Adriane and Cornelius Lampsones to the parliament of the 20 of Januarie 1651 redd and remitted to the comittee of estaittis to tak ane effectuall course for ther satisfaction, and with pooer to thame to lay the same wpoun the cuntrie if they can find no uther meanes, whiche the parliament declairs to be als sufficient as if it had bein done be the parliament thameselffis.

It being putt to the questione whither or not the money should be cryed wp and heighted, it wes voyced affirmative, and that the twelff shillings Scotis should be cryed wp to ane mark, and the rest of the Scottis and English money accordinglie, and the dowble angell to fyftein pound Scottis and the rest of the Scottis and English gold proportionallie; and ordanes the erle [of] Cassils, Sir James Murrey, Sir Johne Smyth and George Gardyne to meitt and give a table of money and gold and of the forrane money according to this proportione.

Remitted to the comittee for the armie to tak course for making wp of the kingis regiment out of the first levies or otherwayes as may be most convenientlie, with pooer to thame [to] mak it compleit.
