[Earl of Montrose's declaration read; delegation sent to guard and examine the earl of Montrose]

The Lord Burley, Hoptoun and George Porterfeild, being sent to James Grahame to examine him, did report his declaratioune in wreat, quhilk was redd in parliament.

The estaitts of parliament ordans Liuetenant Colonell Wallace and Captain Alexander Colveil and Major Weir to go in and remayne with James Grahame till Monday, and to tak speciall notice that no papers com to him or go from him, or any persone have accesse to com to him without licence of parliament or commissioners of the kirk.

The parliament ordanes the lord register [and] Sir Johne Cheislie to go with thoise who formerlie examinat James Grahame and to reexamine him.
