Procedure: remits to committees
[Remit Sir John Falconer to the committee of estates]†

The quhilk day the estaits of parliament, having hard ane supplicatioun givin in to them be Sir Johne Falconer concerning the stricking of some copper coyne, the coper thairof being lying in his handis, and considering the report of the subcommittie appointit for that effect, bearing that in regaird of the severall desyrs of many inhabitants in and about Aberdein and Bervick, instructed by letteres from these pairts, the said Sir Johne be authorized and licenced to strick ten thousand pund of copper coyne or thair about provent he vent them in England or any uther foraigne place or satisfie his creditors thairwith, aither of the tuo, as the parliament shall think fitt in there wisdome to choyse and appoint, thairfoir the saidis estaits of parliament doe remitt and recomend the said desyr, with the foirsaid report, to the committie of estaits, with power to them to doe thairin as they shall think fitt.

Remitt to the exchequer concerning moneys and bulioun†

The quhilk day, anent the maiter tuching moneys in bullioun, the estaits of parliament doe remitt the same to the commissioners of the thesaurie and exchecker, with power to them to determine thairin according to the overturs givin in be the generall of the mint.

Remitt anent the erls of Crawfurd, Lothiane and Sir Williame Dick

The estaits of parliament, having hard and considerit ane desyr from the erles of Crawfurd, Lothiane and uthers quho are chairgit at Sir Williame Dick's instance for payment of certain soums of money, creaving that some of the lords of session might be ordainit to hear both pairties and to doe thairin as they shall think reassonable, they find the samyne desyr just and equitable, and thairfoir they have ordainit and ordanis the lords Craighall, Humbie, Hoptoun and Libertoun (or any thrie of them) to hear the mater betuixt the saids erle of Crawfurd, erle of Lothiane and uthers and the said Sir Williame Dick, with power to them to hear both pairties and to grant suspensioune or doe thairin as they shall think reassonable. And in the meantyme suspends all executioun against the saidis pairties chairgit at the instance of the said Sir Williame untill they be hard and the passing of the suspensioun determined.
