The estates of parliament, considering how necessary it is for the good of this kingdom that all commissioners appointed by the last parliament should meet and act according to the power given to them by vertue of their commissions, therefore they have continued and hereby do continue the same commissions appointed by the last parliament to the same persons respective contained therein, and ordains the quorum of all the saids commissioners in their severall commissions to be promiscuous; and appoints three of the commissioners of the treasury and three of the commissioners of exchequer to be a quorum, to act and do conform to the commission granted to them.

The estates of parliament, having taken the report given in concerning Master Lampsones businesse to consideration, and in particular that part thereof appointing the annuals to be reduced to six for the hundred constantly in all time coming, do therefore ordain the annuals of the money to be reduced, and by these presents reduces the same to six for the hundred in time coming without alteration from the first of this instant, and declares the said six for the hundred to be free in all time coming of all retention and publick burdens. And the saids estates appoints thirteen thousand pound stirling as a part of the sums due to Master Lampsones to be laid upon the maintenance of the whole kingdom, burgh and land, according to the rule of maintenance by adding to the maintenance eleven hundred pound stirling monethly for twelve moneths after the first of this instant August without any deduction for quarterings or any other cause whatsomever, and refers to the committee of estates to proportion the foresaid sum to be payed by the shires and burghs monethly according to the maintenance.

The estaits of parliament have given and grantit and give and grant warrand to the committie of war of the severall shyrs to try if any tortur hath beine usit against any persoun suspect or guiltie of the cryme of witchcraft, and to report to the parliament or committie of estaits befoir executioun be done upon them.
