Procedure: concerning arrears owed to the earl of Leven to be disbursed on repairs of Edinburgh Castle

[Alexander Leslie], earl of Leven, lord general, did represent to the estates of parliament that there were sundry sums of money resting owed by the public to him, and therefore desired that warrant might be granted to [Sir James Stewart of Kirkfield and Coltness], commissary-general, for refunding the same to him; which being done, he declared he was content to disburse the same upon the reparation of such things as were necessary in and about the castle of Edinburgh to be done, and to give in a just account of what he should disburse and accept payment from the parliament when they might conveniently repay the same.
